Horsforth Climate Action and Grove Cinema are showing the film 2040 at 7pm on Friday 7th June 2024 in the Main Hall at the Grove Centre.
2040 is a 2019 Australian documentary film directed by and starring Damon Gameau. The film looks at the effects of climate change over the next 20 years and what technologies that exist today can reverse the effects. 2040 follows Gameau's imagining of a future for his four-year-old daughter Velvet, where climate change has been solved.
About the film
2040 is a hybrid feature documentary that looks to the future, but is vitally important NOW! A story of hope that looks at the very real possibility that humanity could reverse global warming and improve the lives of every living thing in the process.
