What is Fall of Freedom?

FALL OF FREEDOM is a nationwide call for artists, filmmakers, and communities to stand together in creative resistance. On November 21–22, 2025, cultural spaces across the U.S. from museums and theaters to libraries and living rooms will host screenings, exhibitions, performances, and conversations that defend creative freedom and celebrate the power of art. Everyone is invited to take part!

How to Join

If you’re a filmmaker, organizer, or venue, create a Fall of Freedom event on Kinema. You can screen your own film if it speaks to the moment—or select another title from the collection. All Fall of Freedom screenings will be featured in a special Kinema showcase to amplify our collective voice.

Join us this November!

How to Host a FALL OF FREEDOM Event

1. Select a Film that speaks to the moment. We have curated some suggestions here.

2. Create an event that takes place November 21 or 22

3. Include FALL OF FREEDOM messaging and logos in your event description and promotional materials to signal solidarity and connect your event to a national network of events

4. Register your event with FALL OF FREEDOM's national map so others can discover it, and email us at hello@kinema.com to keep us in the loop!

5. Spread the word! Promote the event across your own channels and tag #FallofFreedom as a collaborator so the movement spreads
