About the event

Colorado Radio for Justice will host a special screening and community conversation about rebuilding after incarceration, featuring guests from the film and local business Convict Coffee.

About the film

Never feeling like she fit in and weighed down by hidden trauma, 18-year-old Cassy tries meth. Her use leads to addiction, estrangement from her family, and involvement in a violent crime. When in prison, she decides to turn her life around, understanding she can’t do it alone. No Matter What is a tender and powerful story of how love, resolve, and trauma-informed therapy lead to recovery and a new way of life.

The film highlights the complexities of supporting a loved one in crisis, a person’s willingness to change, and the transformative power of hope when rare, trauma-informed therapeutic programs are offered in-prison.
