No Other Land

The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Grand Valley is hosting a live screening of "This Other Land", the Academy Award winning film about the lives of Palestinians in the village of Masafa Yatta in the Occupied West Bank. It is a personal story filmed through the collaboration of Palestinian activists Basel Adra and Hamden Ballal and the Israeli Journalists Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szoor. They describe this production as an 'act of resistance on the path of justice of the Israeli- Palestinian conflict.' But it is also the story of friendship and humanity.

I have been going to the West Bank on volunteer medical missions since 2010. I have seen so many of the things documented in this film in different towns with different people. I am delighted to be able to share this film.

This is the site for the live screening. If you would like to view the film at home, virtually at the SAME TIME that we are viewing it at the church. Open this link and 'buy' a free ticket. You will get an email with instructions to view the film at 12:40 on March 1.

If you would like to donate to help Palestinians. There are many great nonprofits and public organizations. I recommend-

Heal Palestine https://www.healpalestine.org/

or UNRWA https://www.unrwausa.org/

Both of these organizations help Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank

Thanks,
