Seen The Film
After the heartfelt response to our first in-person screenings of SEEN, we’re delighted to offer online screenings, an opportunity to watch together with friends or partners from the comfort of your own home.
We, Sally Prebble PhD and Jorinde Rapsey founders of Peace Talks, were deeply moved when we first watched SEEN. The film speaks directly to a longing many of us share as parents: to contribute to our children’s wellbeing, while revealing how the patterns we inherited from our own upbringing can make that longing difficult to live out.
SEEN tenderly explores the inner world of parenting; the challenges we so often carry silently and alone, and the ways our childhood experiences continue to shape our relationships with our children. At the same time, it offers a message of hope, illuminating what can support us to create the connection and emotional safety our children need to thrive.
Our hope is that SEEN not only touches and inspires you, but also reminds you that parenting was never meant to be done alone. Support, understanding, and connection can make a profound difference for both parents and children.
After the film, we’ll gather in small groups for reflection and sharing, creating space for connection, support, and non-judgmental dialogue. To join, sign up here: https://www.peacetalks.nz/seen-the-film
If you’d like to learn more about the parenting support we offer, we warmly invite you to sign up for our free Family Reconnection Starter Pack - lovingly designed to help you start your journey towards greater peace and connection in your family: www.peacetalks.nz/family-reconnection-starter-pack
