Seen The Film
The documentary follows four ordinary parents and explores the challenges they encounter in parenting, and how these are often connected to the way they themselves were parented.
A central theme is that without doing our own inner work (developing deeper awareness and self-compassion) it’s very hard to give our children what we truly want to offer them.
Alongside these personal stories, several well-known experts are interviewed, offering context around attachment, emotional development, and trauma. There are also some very touching moments, including the story of a father and his teenage children who are able to re-establish connection in a meaningful way.
