About the film
The Creative High documentary features nine artists in recovery from addiction, revealing how creative expression can play a vital role in sustaining recovery. Through hip-hop, theater, dance, rock and roll, photography and painting, the film shows how creativity can build resilience, restore purpose and celebrate the human spirit. The film explores the challenge of maintaining balance while entering deeply into the creative process, and shows how a 'natural high' can be experienced without substances.
