“There is another way” is not only about Israel-Palestine is about everywhere and everyone.

It is about choosing nonviolence as a courageous path - even and above all - when the violence and the bloodshed reach a point that is not bearable anymore. 

“It is now that you need to show your commitment. It is when it is hard.”

What does it mean to be partners with the other side, with the enemy, with the ones that belong to the group that kill, oppress, and dehumanize your loved ones and “your tribe”?

This film is an emotional follow up of the previous “Disturbing the Peace” telling the story of Combatants for Peace CfP a binational grassroots movement of Israelis and Palestinians that co-resist the occupation and work for collective liberation. 

We want to support the local movements that stand for justice, peace, and freedom for everyone from the river to the sea with a deep awareness of the asymmetry of power and steadfast commitment to nonviolence.

If you can, bring some papers, pen, and colors, so you can take short notes or simple sketch while you watch the film, then we will offer you three simple prompts to write a short poem about the experience. Poetry is in service here to hold a space of analogical and symbolic language.

There is Another Way tells the story of a group of visionaries who refuse to surrender to violence and injustice, and in doing so show that another path is possible - for them, for us, and for all humanity. As we are all faced with essential questions about who we are, will we choose collective liberation, where the needs, rights, and safety of all are prioritized - in which our humanity comes first, knowing that no one is free until everyone is free.
