Unmuted: Virtual Screening & Conversation with Equimundo
Unmuted, the award-winning three-part documentary series by Without Exception Films, exposes the realities of gender-based violence (GBV) and amplifies survivor-led advocacy around child marriage, FGM/C, and acid attacks. Selected as a Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) Commitment to Action, the series not only highlights urgent challenges but also elevates powerful stories of resilience, community leadership, and solutions.
In this special event presented by Equimundo, Without Exception Films, and Picture Motion, audiences will experience the Child Brides episode, showcasing positive male allyship and countering toxic masculinity, spotlighting fathers, teachers, and community leaders working to end GBV.
The screening will be followed by a live conversation that connects these stories to Equimundo’s pioneering work in engaging men and boys as allies for gender equality.
Content Advisory: The content of the "Child Brides" episode addresses child marriage, which may be distressing for some viewers. The episode includes discussions of sensitive topics such as forced marriage. We encourage viewers to take care of their emotional well-being and seek support if needed. Viewer discretion is advised.
