About the event
Impact Note: 50% of all profits from the film go directly into the Women & the Wind Foundation, a nonprofit supporting high-risk, women-led, environmentally focused adventure projects. By watching this film, you’re helping other bold, values-driven journeys come to life.
Women & the Wind is a raw, deeply personal documentary that follows three women as they cross the North Atlantic on a 50-year-old catamaran with no engine and no prior offshore experience as a crew. What begins as an ambitious sailing voyage, to follow plastic along the Gulf Stream, transforms into a profound journey of resilience, reflection, and radical connection with the ocean.
Since premiering in April 2025, Women & the Wind has reached audiences in over 25 countries through festivals, cinemas, and grassroots community screenings — often accompanied by live Q&As with the crew. Entirely self-distributed, the film is part of a larger movement to tell women-led stories on their own terms, and to prove that impact doesn’t require industry permission.
This 30 Days at Sea screening event is our way to bring the film to our audience for a limited time, honoring all of you who have supported us along the way, and have been waiting for this day!
