FROM THE SUN NEWSPAPER: (By Reporter Shaundra Bartlett Yaw)
"It is a red carpet affair for filmmakers Richard Rossi and Kelly Tabor as their feature film “Lucy & the Lake Monster” debuts for its world premiere.
The movie, which is based on the book written by the two filmmakers of the same title, was filmed in Port Henry, New York over the course of four weeks in summer of 2022. With a family-friendly premise, the adventure movie follows a young girl and her quest to prove the existence of the mythical creature known to all North Country believers and skeptics as Champ.
Both filmmakers also starred in the film, which also features young actress Emma Pearson as the title character of Lucy. There was also more than one surprise celebrity cameo for the audience to delight in.
"We accidentally and inadvertently may have captured some footage of Champ," Rossi said. Viewers can see for themselves four minutes in, where there appears to be drone footage of something swimming underwater in the bottom right of the screen."
