MAJORITY RULES - Chicago Premiere
Come to the Albany Park Library to see the excellent new documentary Majority Rules, which tells the story of how ranked choice voting can be a powerful reform to our democracy. It follows Alaska's first use in 2022 and speaks with activists working to bring RCV to other states. Whether you are new to the idea of RCV or a long-time supporter, you will get a lot from this film. Majority Rules has been screening in cities across the country, and this will be its premiere in Chicago!
About the film
With America's democratic experiment mired in division and dysfunction, the state of Alaska votes to revolutionize their election system. The surprising results spark new alliances, a growing call for election reform, and fierce pushback from political parties. Could changing how Americans vote also change politics for the better?
