The film serves to demystify the world of venture capital while highlighting the tragic truth that women-owned businesses currently receive less than 2% of all venture capital investments.  

Featuring rock-star female investors who invest in diverse women entrepreneurs with innovations that will change the world, Show Her The Money reminds us that money is power and women need it to achieve true equality.

In celebration of Women's History Month and International Women's Day, ChangemakerYOU is thrilled to partner with The Lyric Theater and the Women's Resource Center of the New River Valley to bring you this change-making film.  

(Note: Although this event is free to the public, we will be asking for a voluntary donation to benefit the good work of WRCNRV to provide free services to women and children in our local community who suffer from domestic and sexual violence. )

Show Her The Money is about extraordinary, powerhouse women in the exciting and fascinating world of venture capital.

We were on the academy award “For Your Consideration” list and the film features extraordinary women in VC plus celebrities Elizabeth Banks and Sharon Gless (Cagney and Lacey)!

Venture is one of the most exciting alternative asset investment options available - for building wealth and making an impact. For those wanting to make a difference in the world- Show Her The Money pulls back the curtain on the fascinating, fun and exciting world of venture capital. Our mission is to demystify venture capital in an engaging story telling way to help you understand why women are getting only 2% of VC funding and how we can change that gender inequity. And why we would want to for the future good of the world. 


Documentary

The screening will be held at the beautiful and historic Lyric Theater in downtown Blacksburg at 135 College Avenue, Blacksburg, Virginia 24060. 

Parking may be found on the street or at the nearby Kent Square Parking Garage just a few blocks away.   

The facility is accessible and refreshments will be available for purchase.
