Peter Lurie is Associate Professor of English and Film Studies at the University of of Richmond.  He’s taught cinema and American literature at Harvard, Oxford, and the Universities of Paris and Warsaw, the latter on a Fulbright in 2015.  He is the author

(Johns Hopkins University Press, 2004) and 

American Obscurantism: History and the Visual in U.S Literature 

(Oxford 2018) and the Editor, with Ann J. Abadie, of
