About the film

A forensic investigation into how America's "15 days to flatten the curve" became the longest school closures in the developed world, leaving 50 million children behind while unions, bureaucrats, and $189 billion in federal funds reshaped education forever.

What people are saying

The film explodes onto the screen... As the skein of the film unwinds, we encounter parents and children of all races and all walks of life, from across the entire country. We hear kids unwittingly describing their descent into depression, or the painful awareness of futures that are no longer theirs, futures that have drifted out of reach. These are many super villains in the COVID story. The teachers' unions may be the worst. Watch the film."

Emily Burns

Miss Information's Measured Discourse

"Skillfully documents the catastrophe that it was for them. Reveals both the uniqueness and universality of the suffering of that period with hopeful glimpses of cross-partisan community solidarity. Major props to Murakhver for painstakingly telling the story. Should serve as a reminder of what not to do policy-wise while admirably showcasing the enduring strength of family and community." ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ — Brandon Showalter, The Christian Post https://www.christianpost.com/voices/the-real-story-of-americas-pandemic-school-closures-review.html

Christian Post

"The film reminds us that many of that era's players, interests, and debates remain relevant today. It clarifies that the decision to close schools was not a costless choice but one made at the expense of children's education. 15 Days tells the stories of parents and families who bore the costs of politicians' inability, or unwillingness, to do so. For parents who suffered during the pandemic, the film is worth viewing. It ends with a cautiously optimistic appeal: 'You hold the keys to your children's future. If you don't fight for them, who will?'"

Adam Lehodey

City Journal

"When historians look back on the 2020s and wonder how so many institutions lost the people's trust, Exhibit A may well be a documentary I saw the other night in New York City. '15 DAYS' is an agonizing anatomy of a public policy scandal that violated all the norms of good governance. This is the heart and guts of the film — the concerted effort to shut down dissent when the welfare and mental health of millions of schoolchildren was at stake. It's hard to watch the film and not conclude that the silencing of the scandal is still with us and that a congressional commission is a national imperative. This film must be shown in Congress."
