About the film
A cross-country journey into the heart of a generation. Youth advocate Raquel Borras traveled by RV across the U.S., sitting down with 30 young people for raw, unscripted conversations about identity, pressure, mental health, and what the American Dream means to them now. Directed by Brian Mulvey and Seth Tucker, the result is an intimate portrait of Gen Z in their own words — no filters, no agenda, just honest listening. I Hear You, Gen Z invites audiences to put down their assumptions and truly hear a generation redefining what it means to hope, belong, and build a future in America. It starts with listening.

What people are saying
“The film beautifully captures the authenticity and vulnerability of this generation. The young people featured spoke openly about navigating today's political and cultural climate while searching for the same things so many of us are: connection, purpose, belonging, and the desire to be heard without judgment. What inspired me most was their confidence in expressing what they need and hope for. There was something incredibly powerful about seeing a generation so willing to be vulnerable, advocate for themselves, and invite older generations into the conversation. Thank you, Raquel Borras, for creating a film that doesn't just tell Gen Z's story—it creates a bridge between generations. Meaningful change begins with listening, and this film is a beautiful reminder that when we truly hear one another, we often find we have far more in common than we realize.”
