About the event
On March 8, the International Women's Day, it is fitting that Women Supporting Women has sponsored a FREE screening of RATIFIED. This film is the inspiring story of a multi-racial, multi-generational, bipartisan effort to make Virginia the final state required to ratify the Equal Rights Amendment. It's also a story about the incredible perseverance of women. For more than 100 years we have worked to get equal rights and protection for women written into the Constitution of the United States.
Introduction, speaker Rebecca Now, Voices of AmericanHERstory: 12 - 12:30 pm, Screening: 12:30 - 2 pm. Discussion of past efforts in Missouri and present status: approximately 2 -3 pm.

About the film
Most Americans believe the Constitution protects gender equality. It does not. RATIFY follows 3 brave women who unexpectedly accept the reins to carry forward a 100-year struggle to build a more inclusive movement and finally enshrine gender equality in the Constitution.
