About the event
Great news! We’re excited to let you know that we’ve arranged to host a community screening of The Healing to watch and experience together. It’s an Australian documentary film directed by Nick Barkla, and supported by the impact entertainment team at good.film.The details for The Healing screening are: WEDNESDAY MARCH 26th, Kin Kin Memorial School of Arts, Main St Kin Kin QLD
6.30pm Registrations. 7pm Welcome and introduction with Jemma Michael from 'My Healing Horses' & The Healing Screening (54 mins)8pm Q & A about equine assisted therapies and long-trekking led by Alienor le Gouvello from 'Wild at Heart Equine Assisted Therapy'
This beautiful film is set in the Kangaroo Valley in NSW, and it shows a week in a life-changing program where a group of veterans and first responders work with, and bond with, ex-racehorses with a goal of mutual rehabilitation. As the title suggests, the healing that happens between the horses and humans is nothing short of life saving.
We’re passionate about screening The Healing for all of us together because we know how profound the horse and human connection can be. This unique screening and Q & A event is an opportunity for you to watch an amazing film & speak with and hear from locally based equine assisted therapy professionals.
The film has already had wonderful success, including sold-out festivals, international awards and features on ABC, The Guardian and more. But more importantly, the reception from audiences all over the country shows that this is a film that really gets through to people."I love the message of hope in this film. It resonates as a therapy that really works."
