When a man (John Cho) leaves Korea to care for his dying father in Columbus, Ohio, he meets a young woman (Haley Lu Richardson) who dreams of studying architecture, and the two immediately share a deep and platonic connection. Kogonada directs this emotionally affecting and beautifully shot drama about following your passions, the complexities of responsibility, and how a single person can alter the trajectory of one’s life.
