About the event
In honor and recognition of Native American Heritage Month, please join the SUNY-ESF Department of Landscape Architecture, the Center for Native Peoples and the Environment, and the Center for Cultural Landscape Preservation for a free virtual screening of the documentary film, "Gather," on Thursday, November 12, at 6 pm. We are planning to host a follow-up conversation about food sovereignty after the film screening, via Zoom, with Angela Ferguson, Mariah Gladstone, and Matt Potteiger. The conversation will begin at 7:30 pm, following a 15-minute intermission after the film's end.Advance registration is required. About the film
A portrait of a growing movement amongst Indigenous Americans to reclaim their spiritual and cultural identities through obtaining sovereignty over their ancestral food systems, while battling against the historical trauma brought on by centuries of genocide.
