Gather with The Growing Project
The Growing Project invites you to stream Gather with us Wednesday, January 13th at 6:30PM MST. This is a special public event where we are lucky to host a conversation with a panel of folks from the First Nations Development Institute and Northern Colorado growers protecting ancestral earth healing practices. The panel will follow the movie at 7:45PM over Zoom. Link here: https://zoom.us/j/92515259798The Growing Project is a nonprofit dedicated to creating a more just local food system. As we work with The Foodshed Project to restore city land at the Flores del Sol Natural Area, we must acknowledge the history of the land stolen from Native Americans and co-create gardens that promote rematriation. This wisdom is shared by the Native people of the land that we occupy and in our journey, we must make redemptions to them. This means putting power in decision making into Indigenous hands. Help us to learn and take these actions in our work.We learn through stories like those shown in this film. See you next week!If you have any questions, email us at info@thegrowingproject.org and follow us on social media instagram.com/thegrowingproject
